Turret Wars Retro (was TurretWars) Editor's Review

TurretWars is an action canon game.

If you remember the old game named "Canons" where there were 2 canons on the hills and shoot each other. TurretWars is basically the same game only that the action happens using 3D effects in OpenGL.

As controls you have: velocity controlled by "1" and "2" keyboard numbers and the arrows for altitude and left to right. The goal is to bomb your enemies into flames. This is a game which goes by the saying "destroy or be destroyed". As you advance, more turrets will appear as opponents with different skills. You can also increase your armor if you hit one 'power-up' item. The more accuracy you get on your hit, the more you score and win faster.

TurretWars is addictive for persons that crave for action and excitement. As a hint to win, you have to shoot with high velocity and close to the ground. This way you will determine the right position of the target faster.

Pluses:great graphics, great sounds, exciting and addictive.

Drawbacks / flaws: some levels are pretty hard.

In conclusion: TurretWars is a addictive action game. A simple idea with great results. If you enjoy action games you'll spend hours playing it.
